Physical Education
The aluminum can drive continues until after the Super Bowl. We really need the generosity of your support. This is a terrific fundraiser for the Physical Education Department. We have recently purchased a weight bench, stair climber, and various tennis racquets for our indoor tennis unit, all the result of funding from can recycling.
Please deposit cans next to the garage door on the north side of the school. Please have the student identify themselves by either telling us at school, or putting a name tag on the bag. In this way they can get credit, which can lead to a prize (the top three contributors will win money) or a free class continental breakfast. They will also have their name mentioned during morning announcments.
One strategy that an ambitious student may use is to contact a local bar and ask them to save their cans, perhaps for a week-end, a week, or a month, and contribute them to you so you could get credit at school. If you have trouble in picking up cans and delivering them to school, please contact us; we may be able to pick them up for you.
Indian Oaks country club in Shabbona has been saving cans for us, so please, do not contact them. I get them directly from the Country Club.
Please be generous. Can recycling helps the school and helps the environment.
