Description
This one year double block course combines the necessary elements of U.S.
History and Junior English to fulfil graduation requirements. In order to
take this class it is asked that you have already taken the following classes
and received an A or a B in them: Freshman English, Sophomore English, World
Geography and World History. Its objectives will focus on the development
of American Society through political, social, economic, and military events
with a special emphasis on key literature works. Additionally, the course
will focus on the continued development of writing techniques and styles.
Special attention will be given to persuasive and MLA essays. Weekly vocabulary
and quarterly reports will also be required.
