WOODS I & II
This course introduces the students to the basic skills of woodworking. They will learn the proper use and care of woodworking hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary woodworking machines. These objectives will be taught through a series of classroom and laboratory exercises. Safety will be stressed throughout the course as well as proper work habits and pride in workmanship.
Woods I (Semester)- Learning how to use machines and tools to make small items i.e. CD Clock or Gumball Machine
Woods II (Semester)- Finer wood working, including building a mantel clock.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Technology
