Course Description:
The course is designed to include an exploration of the process of conceiving, creating, managing, and potentially selling a business.

Course Objectives:
The goals of the Sports and Entertainment Marketing course are to:
· Increase student awareness of career planning in entrepreneurship.
· Assist students in developing appropriate attitudes about work.
· Enhance student awareness and understanding of emerging trends in Marketing.
· Reinforce basic skills in communication, human relations, and reading.
· Identify and apply appropriate teamwork strategies to ensure successful team
· Develop a business plan for owning and operating a small business.
· Write goals and objectives for a business.
· Prepare a loan application package.
· Determine break-even point and necessary cash flow.
· Develop or adapt various business contracts.
· Keep basic business records (manual/computer).
· Develop a plan for hiring, training, and supervising personnel.
· Select professional consultants for technical assistance.
· Identify components of a typical marketing strategy.
