Overview: This course is designed to give students a basic instruction to the elements of art--line, shape, color, value, texture, and space. Students will learn skills and create original works within the following areas: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and other media.

November 16-17 In a composition draw and glue down (Collage technique) 3 things you believe are unfair in the world, your life.. 3 mediums
November 21-22 Draw what you love about Thanksgiving Colored pencil and felt tip
November 30-December 1 Create a composition that includes a cow, a rock star, and a saying Use color
December 7-8 Include signs of winter in a composition..be creative Your choice, use color
December 14-15 Draw a present, a cookie, and a glass of milk Colored pencil and felt tip

January 5-6 2012 (during class)

Make a coat of arms to represent you..use 2 or 3 of your initials Black and white, your choice of mediums
