This course is a study of human behavior in a group context. The focus will be on American culture, with the aim of giving the student a better understanding of the forces that have shaped us and continue to affect us. The student will examine why he/she can expect certain problems at certain stages of life and possible solutions to those problems. The relative merits of cooperation and competition will be examined.
