Theodore A. and Esther Watne Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must be a current Senior of Indian Creek High School.
2. Must have attended Indian Creek High School for one full year to be considered.
3. Plans to attend a certified vocational school, a community college or university.
4. Must be attending that institution on a full-time basis for the entire year.
Selection Criteria:
Will be based on character, personal merit, and background of the individual. Students should be good citizens of the school and community. Student should exhibit motivation to succeed and accomplish personal goals. Selection should be sensitive to the economic background of applicants.
Extra-curricular activities showing initiative should be evaluated, especially for the leadership and cooperative spirit they represent. If, however, student was required to work for economic reasons, this should be considered in lieu of extra-curricular activities.
There is no required grade-point average for consideration. Rather we hope that this can be used by individuals who wish to further their education and are finding ways to accomplish that goal.
Application/Selection Process:
Completed applications should be submitted to the Indian Creek Education Foundation Board at PO Box 426, Shabbona, IL 60550. These will be reviewed by the ICEF Board. Awards are to be made entirely at their discretion. All applications remain confidential among Board members. Applications must be received by the board no later than March 31, 2008.
