SHABBONA LION’S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The Shabbona Lion’s Club offers one scholarship each academic year to any graduate of Indian Creek High School from the former Shabbona District, who plans to enter an accredited college or university with the intent of enrolling in any two or four year program for one year in the amount of $500. The scholarship is not restricted to tuition and fee payments, but may be spent as the recipient sees fit. Selection for the scholarship will be based upon the following criteria.
1. Involvement in Community Service
2. Financial Need
3. Rank in Graduating Class
4. Recommendations
5. Application
6. Application received by deadline date
In the event the student, for any reason, fails to satisfy any of the above criteria, he or she will forfeit the scholarship. This scholarship is not restricted to incoming freshmen, but may be awarded on a continuing basis to students from the former Shabbona district at any level. Deadline is March 31, 2008.
