Indian Creek Volleyball Highlights

Indian Creek Volleyball team was very young this year. We had one returning starting from last year. We had 4 seniors and 8 juniors, plus we brought up 2 sophomores and 1 freshman during the season.

The four seniors (Benay Larson, Carol Jensky, Devin Post, Nicole Swanson) that we say goodbye to should be very proud of their accomplishments even though their record is not as good as they wish. But, this summer they were asked if they wanted to participate in a promotion to raise money to help find a cure for cancer. They unanimously agreed. It started off being just a single match event, but then turned into a much bigger ordeal because the whole conference backed it during the conference tournament. We raised 3046.55 with our goal being $2500. Hopefully, because of them the Little Ten Conference has started a new tradition during our conference tournament.

The girls learned a lot about the game and were willing to try different things to improve. We switched our line-up a lot and even changed from a traditional line-up to a three middle hitter line-up. This made them a more rounded individually player and were able to play more than one position.
